Continuing Server Issues
We're currently experiencing server issues that are preventing us from processing new fic submissions. Don't worry - everything through last weekend is fully backed up, but it may take some time to get things completely up and running again. You can continue to submit new fics, but we cannot guarantee they'll be uploaded to the site before July 20.

ReplyDeleteIt's the sixth of Aug., and i haven't been able to get to Fictionalley park since yesterday...are the servers down or is it a problem on my end?
ReplyDeleteUm, may I ask what's going on? I can't view FAP either (I get a database error).
ReplyDeleteClearly, there's either server difficulties, or maintenance - I seem to recall them having a problem with database post-moving, where fics didn't get uploaded at once, or something. Perhaps they're fixing that and it's taking longer than expected, or else something crashed and it's taking a while to get it back up. I'm sure it will get resolved sometime soon, or else they'll issue some explanation somewhere.
ReplyDeleteIf it's maintenance, it would have been nice to have advance warning, though.
It's been 48 hours since I have been able to get onto either FAP or any fic chapters. I'm guessing that there is a server error and that it's being worked on, so I'll wait and keep checking back here for updates.
ReplyDeleteHmm ... While doing fic research earlier I noticed the HPWíki didn't work either. Unless I'm mistaken FictionAlley maintains/have close cooperation with HPWiki, so perhaps it's on the same server as FAP?

Okay, it's been 4 days and I still can't get on. All I get is "database error". Is anyone working on this?

ReplyDeleteIt's the 27 of June 2010 and I haven't been able to access the Park or any of the fics since the day before yestersday...are the servers down again?

ReplyDeleteSame problem here, haven't been able to access the forum for two days, and before that it was availiable on and off for a week or so. More issues?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous--they updated their livejournal the Sunday before last. I've written the link in another comment. I didn't understand what the problem was (I'm not very technical) but it seems they're working on it.
